As a former Art Educator for over 21 years (I resigned to chase my dreams as a professional artist), I couldn’t just leave the profession. I ran for a volunteer board position in my community called…The Virgin Valley Community Educational Advisory Board……although not offered the position I was running for, they CREATED one just for me??!!!…I am the Valley (Between Virgin Valley, Moapa Valley and the Vegas Valley)….Educational Liaison …… My new board position affords me a different outlook and input into our failing educational system here in Southern NV. Our hopes, goals and efforts are focused on making the Valley a BETTER PLACE for our students to receive a quality education. Last night I had the opportunity to meet the new CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jairo.
